Profit from the Short Interest Theory!
This is
the theory that a large short interest is the predecessor
of a rise in the price of a stock. Short sellers are potential
buyers sooner or later and represent a lot of buying power
when they have to scramble for cover in a sudden market turn.
Such a situation, in which a lack of supply and an excess
demand for a traded stock forces the price upward, is called
a "Short Squeeze". >>

| NYSE Short Interest Ratio
End Aug.: 4,1 (Jul. : 4,0) |
The NYSE Short Interest
Ratio is a contrary opinion sentiment indicator
used to determine the sentiment of the overall
market. It is calculated by dividing the monthly
short interest figure released by the New York
Stock Exchange by the average daily composite
NYSE volume. The Short Interest Ratio is therefore
an excellent indicator of optimism or pessimism
in the market. |
